A toast to the future...

A brief stream of consciousness on money

As is suggested at the top of the page. All life revolves around lifes’ dualities seeking their point of balance. Nowhere is this more keenly appreciable than in the world of money.
There is a tragic, yet arresting beauty to its duality. Simultaneously, it is the tool most responsible for building and advancing civilisation, and the weapon most capable of bringing about our complete destruction. In this respect, money is very similar to water – too much of it can be destructive, yet enough can nourish, strengthen and make flourish the relationships of nations, communities and individuals.
The similarities with water almost end there. As a human creation, money’s destructive capabilities are dependent upon its creators allowing and a state of being to perpetuate, wherein money can become destructive. If (as is currently the case) we live to serve money, rather than it serve us, then money will, like the surge the dam, tear asunder the fabric of civilised humanity instead of strengthening and evolving it in an ever expanding virtuous cycle.
In this context we have one final similarity with water. Clearly, both money and water are essential to our evolution, yet if we sufficiently poison the potential good of either, we will eradicate ourselves.
